The CardioDynamics BioZ Noninvasive Hemodynamic Monitor

The LifeScore Clinic offers noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring for the assessment of key cardiovascular functions such as cardiac output, systemic vascular resistance and cardiac contractility status.

The BioZ is a revolutionary instrument which permits the capture and analysis of data that up until now required invasive procedures with catheters placed directly into the cardiac chambers. Dr. Wright uses the BioZ for the diagnosis and management of many cardiac conditions, including high blood pressure and heart failure.

How ICG Works:

  • An alternating current is transmitted through the chest.
  • The current seeks the path of least resistance: the blood
    filled aorta.
  • Baseline impedance to current is measured.
  • Blood volume and velocity in aorta change with each heartbeat.
  • Corresponding changes in impedance are used with ECG to provide hemodynamic parameters.
