109th U.S. Open
6/24/2009, ISM
Thanks to all who helped make the 109th U.S. Open a success this past weekend! Congratulations to Lucas Glover who persevered through some brutal conditions and came out on top of an incredible field of the best golfers in the world. While the weather interrupted play throughout the tournament, ISM Hospitality never missed a beat.
We opened our facility conveniently located nearby Bethpage, at 6am on the weekdays and 7am on Saturday and Sunday to provide convenience for our clients and their guests. We made this decision because we understand that weather may interrupt play, but it should never interrupt our delivery to match expectations. This is in stark contrast to the unfortunate decision that tournament officials made, deciding to keep the gates closed on Sunday until 11am, thereby leaving everyone who showed up to host from the course, literally out in the rain.
Upon arrival to our ISM hospitality location, we welcomed clients with valet service or a private shuttle running from the Bethpage Train stop for those that elected not to drive. Once they entered, they were greeted by our friendly operations staff and enjoyed a wonderful made to order breakfast along with a fully stocked open bar throughout the day. ISM extras included a Napa Valley vineyard doing premium Pinot and Cabernet tasting, Licensed Massage Therapists giving complimentary massages, and an award winning teaching Tour Player providing exceptional swing analysis and instruction.
Next up: The 2009 MLB All-Star Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO.
